Getting ready for term 4

Written by ChissyMusic

As we come to the end of term 3, we wish our students well who are in the Music Festival Senior Choir or orchestra and who are taking part in the holiday rehearsals. We look forward to hearing you at the festival next term.

Itinerant nights are now established so students can set their practice goals.

And we have some fantastic out-of-school performances starting with the Big Band festival over Labour Weekend.

It was great to be part of junior Jazz Jam where 7 excellent young jazz bands from around Christchurch performed on the stage at CPIT’s Doug Caldwell Concert Room as well as getting helpful feedback from expert jazz lecturers Tom Rainey, Harry Harrison and Gwyn Reynolds.
