May is NZ Music Month and we are celebrating at Chisnallwood!

NZ Music month will culminate in a school house sing-off on June 1st at 1.45pm having spent a month singing NZ songs.

The house that can sing “The Smell of Sunscreen” best will win the most house points. “The Smell of Sunscreen” is the winning 2018 Hook Line and Singalong song and was written by James Constable from Rangiora High.

NEWSFLASH – James will be along to judge the house sing-off!!

Other NZ songs being sung by classes, choir, ukulele group are the Chisnallwood School Song, Take it Easy and He Honore.

These songs were performed at Aranui Library as part of NZ Music Month by the choir and ukulele players. They were joined by the Irish Band.

Please note that the performance scheduled for next week at Shirley Library is postponed due to the visiting performer Mark Vanilau who will be at Chisnallwood.
