Sound tech 2017
Those with invitation letters to train in the holidays, please fill in the RSVP here.
Three things to do before the training day:
1. Learn to and practice coiling leads correctly using the French coil method. Here are some video clips to remind you.
2. Look over the Sound tech page to get an overview of topics and gear we will be covering.
3. Watch some YouTube clips on the new school Beringer x32. Here is a starter video.
Writing answering rhythms
Click the arrow to hear the rhythm and practice your answering ideas.
If you want to type your answer in and hear it, click on the link below the example. You’ll need to be in “edit mode” and input your answer on the drum grid (not the music staff!. I recommend right clicking and opening in another tab.
In the practice mode (hitting play in the examples) how many answering rhythms can you come up with? Have you got a favourite? Aim to stay in time with the metronome while you clap and make bar 4 sound like an ending. Tip: Clapping with one hand on the other (rather than moving both hands) is easier to control.
If the play button doesn’t load on this page try refreshing the page.
