ROCKQUEST THIS SATURDAY

RockQuest 2015The Canterbury Heats of Smokefreerockquest are being held at the Aurora Centre at Burnside High, Corner of Greers Rd & Memorial Ave, on Saturday May 23rd. Our bands are on between 2-4pm.

Tickets $10 at the door. No charge for band members, teachers and children 5yrs and under.

Below is a list of the bands performing at the 2-4pm session on Saturday including our five bands, Electric Twitch, Genuine Fakes, Catch Phrase, Automatic and Cosmic Latte. All bands have had to write an original song for this, and most bands are from high schools. Come down and support our bands!

Wow! ChecIMG_2580k out this fabulous NZ Music Month Raffle!  Tickets are only $2 and are on sale until the end of May. The hamper contains lots of music stuff, yummy NZ food and an awesome $70 ukulele. Proceeds go towards benefiting Chisnallwood Music students.

 

 







PERFORMANCES COMING UP FOR OUR STUDENTS IN MAY (NZ Music month)

  • Sat May 23th ROCKQUEST competition. 2pm-4pm at the Aurora Centre at Burnside High. (Corner of Greers Road/Memorial Ave) $10
  • Tuesday May 26th Choir and Ukes 11am-11.40am at Aranui Library
  • Wed May 27th Sing-off in the school Hall 12 noon for NZ Music Month Hook line and Singalong (“Stickytarday“)
  • Friday May 29th Jazz and Irish 3 performances:
  • 11-11.45am Aranui Library – Jazz Band
  • (12.45 performance for teacher cluster meeting)
  • 2-2.45pm Shirley Library – Jazz bands, acoustic trio and Irish band

The orchestra looks forward to playing in the school production in June.
