This week we were very pleased to host students from Kaitaia Primary School.
Mr Philip Gibbs’ room 12 class (ages 7-8) from Kaitaia Primary had busked for many months to raise money to visit Christchurch. They had studied earthquakes and this was a reason the decided to visit here.
After visiting the red zone, they visited our school, spoke with some of our students about their memories of the earthquakes, heard our Irish band, joined in with our jazz band and Ruia Te Kakano as well as performing for us.
It was unfortunate they had such bad weather for the few days they were here, but we hope they still had a positive experience of Christchurch.
