Children’s Day

featuring the Jazz band & the Rugrats!

On Sunday, March 3rd, we celebrated Children’s Day with joy and enthusiasm, as we do every year. It served as a poignant reminder for all of us participating to prioritise the safety and well-being of our children. Our children and mokopuna are the cornerstone of our legacy, destined to lead and shape the future of our nation. Whether you’re a parent, guardian, whānau member, educator, or a valued member of our community, let’s extend the spirit of celebration into an ongoing commitment to safeguarding the rights and welfare of our greatest gift.

This year, our Jazz Band, featuring members from the previous year’s 2023 cohort, took to the stage and delivered an outstanding performance. Holly Kurzfeld and Tatiana graced us with their beautiful vocals, while Jaxon Low amazed the audience with a stellar trumpet solo. A heartfelt congratulations to all our new band members on their debut gig!

Meanwhile, our rock band “The Rugrats” delivered a mesmerizing performance, captivating the audience with renditions of “Careless Whisper” and “Zombie” for one last time. Their energy and talent left an indelible mark on all who were present.
