The Chisnallwood Jazz Combo achieved SILVER at this week’s ARA JAZZQUEST COMBO competition.
Despite being the youngest band and the only band not yet at high school, our Chisnallwood Jazz Combo achieved SILVER at this week’s ARA JAZZQUEST COMBO competition.
There were 16 bands who took part from Christchurch High Schools. Each band got to play a 20 minute set during the week at ARA Music Arts which was followed by a very valuable one-hour workshop and written feedback with the tutors. The judges then chose one piece from each band to be played at the Friday night concert and awards event at the Piano.
Band were awarded bronze, silver or gold. Our band winning silver means they were graded between 75 and 84% on high-school level criteria.
