So you want to be a sound and lighting tech?
There will be a sign up list in term one and those who sign up and show the following attributes all term in class will be invited to attend the April holiday training course!
Attributes we are looking for:
  • Love leads and techy stuff
  • Able to follow instructions
  • Able to complete a task (not just start it and leave it unfinished)
  • Quiet
  • Able to work with others in a team
  • polite and helpful
  • Very good at listening
  • Reliable
  • Able to problem-solve

Schedule 17 April
9 – 10.30am
Sound chain, care of gear, operating mixers, types of leads and types of mics
10.50 – 12.30 pmThree groups rotating 30 min each

  • Hall sound system
  • Portable PA in music room
  • Media room sound system

1-2.30pm Three groups rotating 30 min each

  • Hall lights, camera, DVD, computer
  • More experience with setting up PAs
  • filling in test questions

2.30 – 3.30 Summary, marking tests, job descriptions…
