5 days, 8 performances, 4 school shows, Steampunk Festival workshop and performances, Totara Estate historic tour, Rodger Fox Big Band and workshops, …
The Jazz and Irish bands have just returned from an amazing tour to Oamaru and Dunedin.
They played at the Steampunk Market twice and also for the judges deliberation time at the Steampunk Fashion Show in the sold-out Oamaru Opera house where they received a standing ovation!
They were able to make Steampunk goggles at a goggle making workshop and wear them at the Opera House performance.
They also visited the Steampunk HQ, Steampunk Playground and had a ride on the steam train.
On the way to Dunedin they stopped at historic Totara Estate for an educational and historic tour including billy tea. They then stopped at Moeraki Boulders.
In Dunedin the bands played at St Clair School and Balmacewen Intermediate. They were also lucky to have a workshop with Dr Rodger Fox, attend workshops and a concert by the Rodger Fox Big band.
On the way back to ChCh they performed at Papakaio School in Oamaru where they met up with their band members and then Gleniti School in Timaru.
