ITINERANT NIGHTS

We’ve been lucky to hear many of our students getting ready for the itinerant nights and we know that the itinerant music teachers and students have got some really fabulous items ready! These evenings are a wonderful opportunity for students to gain experience performing, as well as a great opportunity for parents and supporters to see the results of all those lessons and practice sessions and have the chance to acknowledge the specialist teachers who come in to share their expertise with our students 🙂

Wed 25 Nov – Itinerant night 1
6.45pm-7.45pm musicstand
Clarinet & Saxophone (Ellen’s students) in the Library
Keyboard (Lynne’s students) in the Media Room
Piano (Marnie’s students), Cello & Piano (Mike’s Students) in the Music Room

Thurs 26 Nov  Itinerant night 2
6.15-7.45pm
Vocals (Amanda’s students) in the Media Room
Drums (Jon’s students) in the Hall

Tues 1 Dec – Itinerant night 3  
6pm Guitar (Leroy’s students) in the Music Room
6.15pm Trumpet & Trombone (Greg’s students), Violin (Julie’s students), Flute (Janet’s students) in the Library
6.45pm Bass Guitar (Clayton’s students) in the Media Room
7.30pm Hiphop Dance in the Hall (Followed by prizegiving)

Each evening concludes with a prizegiving at 7.30pm in the hall with a 7.45 finish.

CDs and DVDs on sale soon

Watch this space for when the school CDs and DVDs go on sale. They’ll be out in time for Christmas!


Well done to the Jazz big Band and Jazz Combo who played for the NZEI Graduation Ceremony this week. They first played the National Anthem and two items for the ceremony, then the combo stayed on to play for 45 minutes during the drinks and nibbles.

Early Childhood Music workshop
